Pegora
A key only you hold

Meet Peggy — the agent who finds money in your finances.

She reads your statements and turns them into your year: every date your money will cost you or pay you, and what to do before it does. Unused tax relief, deadlines nobody warns you about, pensions drifting out of date. Here's what that looks like, with example data.

She reads them; no person here does. And she is never told what you're worth — the figures stay on your own screen, behind your own key.

One deadline, two jobs: the filing date for last year's return, and the day the tax on it has to be paid.

Worth ~£4,000 this year

James has £10,000 of his £60,000 annual allowance unused, and three earlier years still open to carry forward — at the 40% rate that's ~£4,000 back. Peggy states her assumptions and links GOV.UK's own guidance on every finding.

~£1,500 more than you expect — January 2028

His first Self Assessment bill will not just be last year's tax: over £1,000, HMRC also collects half of next year's on the same day. Peggy counts it down months out, so it's a plan instead of a shock.

Your Standard Life value is from May 2025 — got a newer statement?

Over a year old means every figure built on it is a year out of date too. Peggy notices, asks once, and reads the new statement the moment it's uploaded.

Use your full pension annual allowance every year

On track for £24,000 of £60,000 — the rest of this year's allowance expires 5 April.

What should I do before April?
Two things, in order. First: your pension — £36,000 of this year's £60,000 allowance is still unused, and at your 40% rate a £10,000 top-up is ~£4,000 back. Second: your Vanguard holding is sitting on a £3,000 gain you could realise inside the annual exempt amount — it expires 5 April, doesn't carry over, and can't be shared with a spouse. Want the steps for either?

What she watches

Shares & funds

Import your broker's CSV and the gain is worked out per holding under the share identification rules in order — same day, anything bought back within 30 days, then your Section 104 pool at its average cost. Not the oldest-first guess your statement implies, and not something you can do by eye.

Crypto

Upload a Kraken trades export and your gains are worked out under CGT — fees in the cost base, the £3,000 annual exempt amount applied, losses carried. Crypto-to-crypto swaps are flagged for review, never guessed.

Pensions

Every pot in one place, statements read for you, unused annual allowance quantified — and transfers of old pensions drafted, sent and chased on your say-so.

Why an agent beats a dashboard

She remembers

Tell her once — your salary, your retirement age, that old Zurich pension — and every future answer knows it. Six months in, she knows your money better than your bank does.

She reaches out

When your statement goes stale, when a deadline nears, when the new tax year resets your allowances — Peggy emails you at the moment acting is actually possible.

She works your goals

Agree a goal — use your full tax relief every year — and she tracks it, ranks everything around it, and chases the dates that matter to it.

All of this happens without a person here seeing any of it

The obvious question about an app that goes through your money is who else gets to see it. Here is the answer, in the order people usually ask it.

Who holds the key?

You do. Your device makes one when you join and never sends it to us. There is no spare in a drawer here, and setting one up isn't optional — it's the first thing you do.

What can Pegora see?

Not your National Insurance number, and not your documents — those are scrambled before they leave your device. Our own administrator credentials are denied the decryption key outright, and every unlock is logged somewhere we can't edit.

Does the AI see my money?

No. Peggy is told what's true and where you can look, never how much. If you type a figure at her yourself we'll warn you first — it's your call, but you'll know you're making it.

The trade is real and we'd rather say it here than in small print: lose your key and your recovery code, and what they locked is gone — we can't reset it, because we never had it. The security page spells out exactly what we can and can't see, including the parts we haven't finished yet.

Free to see what she finds. No card, no forms — one emailed link.
